Producers recently let it slip that she is expecting her first child. But Scarlett Johansson is still keeping her baby bump under wraps. The 29-year-old hid her growing belly underneath the folds of her coat and long scarf as she headed out of LAX. Despite the warm summer temperatures in Southern California, Scarlett was all bundled up in a tan trench coat, enormous black scarf, black pants and tan leather open-toed clogs.
She wore a black hat over her blonde locks and shielded her eyes in a pair of dark sunglasses. With her voluptuous figure safely shrouded, the actress kept her head down as she maneuvered her way to the airport. Her Captain America: The Winter Soldier co-star Chris Evans was also spotted heading out of LAX.
Decked out in a black jacket, t-shirt and pants, the buff 32-year-old action star was slightly less clandestine in a purple hat, sunglasses and scruffy beard Meanwhile Scarlett’s layered travel look was in stark contrast to her form fitting ensemble earlier this week. The talented star showed off her fabulous figure in an elegant sheer lace number for the Captain American world premiere in Hollywood.
While Scarlett has so far kept mum about the pregnancy, Marvel Studios President of Production confirmed her maternity in an interview about The Avengers: Age of Ultron script. Kevin Feige told Collider.com: ‘Well my first reaction was I was very happy for her and very excited for her.
‘My second reaction was we’ve got to move some pieces on the chess board around schedule-wise. But we didn’t change the script at all, which is sort of the most important things for us in terms of the storyline.’
Feige’s comments confirmed reports the blonde beauty is due to welcome her first child into the world with fiancรฉ Romain Dauriac, 31 – her due date is reported to be in August. The studio president admitted they aim to hide Scarlett’s bump so viewers won’t think her character of Black Widow – also known as Natasha Romanoff – is with child.
‘I think the goal is for us to sit here talking about the fact that you would never know that Black Widow was pregnant during the filming of the movie when you see the final version of Avengers 2.’
