Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac have even more love to give this Valentine’s Day after spending February 14 with their adorable baby Rose. The new parents doted on their sweet five-month-old as they headed to a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles on Saturday, daddy taking care of the duties while Scarlett swung a handbag by her side.
Scarlett, 30, – who boasted a trim shape in skinny-fit jeans – appeared to have a spring in her step as she smiled widely on the way to lunch with her two favourite people. The peroxide blonde shook out a chic, short cut after placing her large sunglasses on her nose, a symbol of her A-list status.
She looked comfortable walking in platform trainers and left the daddy duties to her faithful husband who walked behind her at times. And while a show of Valentin’es love hadn’t been reserved for just her this year, Scarlett looked beyond content as the trip stepped out for a sunsoaked family date.
Romain, dressed ever-so coolly in a white V-neck T-shirt and black wayfarers, swung his adorable tot up in the air to give her a kiss. Equally carefree, he went without socks in a pair of penny loafers, matching his wife’s stylish flair. Rose, meanwhile, was brighter than her achingly cool parents and was dressed in neon trainers and bright pink trousers.
Despite being utterly besotted with her new baby and doting on her endlessly throughout the trip, Scarlett recently told W magazine that Rose’s appearance surprised her when she was born on September 4, 2014. She said: ‘When she came out of me, I was so surprised. I had a very strong picture in my mind of what my baby would look like.
‘And, of course, she is completely different. Perfect, but not what I’d imagined. Now, of course, I can’t picture her any other way.’ Taking the driver’s seat on Saturday afternoon, Scarlett was showing off her remarkably trim physique, less than 21 weeks after the birth. She credits breastfeeding with helping her to get back into shape and was recently seen enjoying a hike through California. She continued: ‘It’s the best way to get back in shape. [I do] the whole bit. I’m nursing and I love it.’
