Despite her fondness of him, Wednesday cannot be bothered to be tied down by Joel, certainly not now at such a young age nor apparently later on. When Joel asks her if she’d ever marry or have kids and she says no, he asks what she’d do if the boy worshipped her and did whatever she wanted (to which she says she’d pity him).
