The upcoming The Addams Family spinoff series centers on Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams, with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmàn, Isaac Arminez, and Fred Armisen as the other members of the iconic family. Uploaded to the official Netflix YouTube channel, the newly released Wednesday title sequence introduces audiences to various pieces of imagery familiar to The Addams Family franchise, including Thing, and other morbid visuals that may hint towards the series’ plot.
With Wednesday’s titles featuring several pieces of spooky and macabre imagery alongside a grandiose orchestral score, the upcoming Netflix series is already promising to be perfect for those fond of a gothic style. Elfman composed Wednesday’s soundtrack and worked alongside his frequent collaborator, series producer and director Tim Burton, with the two creatives reuniting to bring Charles Addam’s world to life for Netflix after having worked together on a total of 16 feature-length films over the years. Together, Burton and Elfman are responsible for crafting a number of features that have become well-loved for their dark sense of humor and surreal, spooky visuals, including Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and Batman.
