After watching Wednesday, Marvel fans want to see star Emma Myers cast as Spider-Gwen in a future live-action project.
While most of the Netflix series’ glowing reviews have focused on Jenna Ortega’s lead performance as the title character, Wednesday Addams, Myers has received some attention for her breakout role as Wednesday’s colorful werewolf roommate/friend, Enid Sinclair. With her shoulder-length, purple-streaked blonde hair, some fans have drawn comparisons between Myers’ Enid and Marvel Comics’ superhero Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen. They have also pointed out that Myers herself has stated that she would love to portray Spider-Gwen in live-action, with many hoping their tweets of support can turn her dream casting into a reality.
The character first appeared in Edge of Spider-Verse #2 (2014) before headlining her own ongoing series, Spider-Gwen, in 2015.
