Wednesday Star Jenna Ortega Imagined As Teen Titans’ Raven In Fan Art

Wednesday star Jenna Ortega gets imagined as the iconic and popular Teen Titans heroine Rachel Roth, a.k.a. Raven, in new fan art. One of the most famous teams in the entire DC Universe canon is the Teen Titans. The Teen Titans focus on younger characters, including Nightwing, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and other sidekicks from the DC realm that rise to become their own heroes. The beloved band of superheroes has had a huge media history with several animated TV shows, the ongoing live-action Titans series on HBO Max, and a lot more.

Ortega, who has recently been gaining major buzz through her portrayal of Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series Wednesday, is now being envisioned as one of the iconic Teen Titans members. Famous digital concept artist and graphic designer Bosslogic recently shared a rendition of what Ortega could look like as Raven in a potential live-action Teen Titans project. This is the second DC Comics heroine that Ortega has been fan-cast as after also being imagined as the Green Lantern, Jessica Cruz.

Will The Teen Titans Ever Appear In The DCU?

While Teagan Croft has been playing Raven on Titans since the start, the heroine, along with the rest of the team, has still not been depicted in the DCU. Even though it’s very likely the team will eventually get the cinematic treatment, the question is more about when that will actually happen. Currently, Warner Bros. Discovery is going through a lot of changes with its properties, including the DC brand, following the launch of DC Studios. Peter Safran and James Gunn are leading DC Studios and are in the midst of developing a 10-year plan for the DCU. It’s unclear if Safran and Gunn, through DC Studios, are actually continuing with the established franchise or if they will go through with a full-on reboot for the DCU.

Whether or not the DCU continues or gets rebooted, there is no reason why the Teen Titans couldn’t appear on the big screen. A way to do the group differently from the HBO Max drama is to go with a younger incarnation of the team and focus on them as the Teen Titans rather than them as young adults. At some point, Titans will finish its run on HBO Max, whether that is after season 4 or years from now. Despite the many changes happening with HBO Max, including its coming merger with Discovery Plus, there have been no decisions made yet about Titans season 5. If the DC TV drama were to end in the next few years, having someone as talented as Ortega bring Raven to life in the DCU would be a massive way to get the Teen Titans going in the films.
